getting serious

i have been in a training rut for about a year. basically last year i raced in the smith mountain lake sprint tri and with very little training came home with a 3rd place medal. i had left the rave mad because i felt like i was really slow (we are in comparison to). suddenly i realized, i could really be good at this. but then raisingdc happened and i quit exercising. since then it has really been a struggle to get back into a training regime. then i bought a new bike in january.

and i started thinking, if i could get faster on my bike, i bet my overall time would really improve. so i started toying with the idea of getting a cycling coach right at the same time i was spending lots of time and money at capitol hill bikes.

long story short. this week i hired evan fader to be my tri coach. he is a cycling master, but is excited about the multisport stuff. i of course did some research on him and other coaches in the area and i am super excited. i think i really found one of the best, for me at least, in the area. i am really excited. so now as soon as i can get better, i will have a VO2 test and really start.

can this guy make me fast?

are you sure you hired him for his expertise and not for how he looks in goggles, a helmet and a racing jersey?!
